Welcome to Creatively Adapted!
As a former classroom teacher of students with autism and extensive learning needs, I know the challenges special education teachers face each day to meet the growing number of demands placed upon them. From case management responsibilities to training para-professionals to collaborating with team members, there is often little time left for creating and differentiating curriculum that is meaningful and motivating for the diverse learning needs of your students.
My name is Ginger Joyce and I created this site to share interactive and engaging curriculum resources, teaching tips, and instructional strategies for special educators. I hope to help you implement evidence-based practices in meaningful and engaging ways to provide practical application of skills for your students.
Here you will find content related to:
- classroom design and organizational ideas
- accessible standards
- interactive curriculum materials
- instructional planning resources
My decades of experience providing staff development and teacher training instilled in me a passion for supporting new special education teachers entering the education field as well as not-so-new teachers looking for new ideas. To help you meet the needs of your diverse learners through hands-on interactive learning, this website includes a free resource library with new resources and tools added monthly.
Currently, I live and work in sunny southern California as an instructional coach, university instructor, and intern/student teaching supervisor. My two silky terriers, Macy and Quincy, along with the beach and ocean air are some of my favorite stress relievers.
Thank you for stopping by! I hope the information shared on this website will be useful, easy to navigate, and make your life as a special educator a bit easier each day.
